The Unicorn Club is a matchmaking and relationship consulting business managed by Emily Paul, its founder.
The project consisted in developing a one-page website that would serve as an entry point for those seeking Emily’s advice / help. Sebastian Garanton, a very talented designer and illustrator (and a friend of mine as well), was in charge of designing the new website following Emily’s requirements – she wanted something clean, easy on the eyes and minimalist:
The site, of course, is fully responsive (you do know that Google is taking mobile-friendliness into account when ranking websites, right?) – and since it’s a one-page site there are no frameworks / CSS pre-processors being used on this project.
The site relies on some of the HTML5 APIs to work, such as client-site validation of the Contact form which also works on older browsers thanks to Alexander Farcas’ excellent Webshim library. And just in case you’re wondering: yes, there’s server-side validation as well – you can never be too cautious when it comes to security.
The project might expand into a larger site in the future. If so, I’ll update this article 🙂
